Wow what an honor!! We received our first blog award from none other than our friends at Still Times, a beautifully written blog about a family sharing their travel journeys.
I am none other than flattered that I was nominated. But Im going to be honest, I had no idea what “Leibster” meant. Luckily, a quick Google search showed that Leibster is German for ‘favorite’ meaning the ‘favorite blog award’!!

Nominator’s Questions for Me
1. If you had a week to live, what would you do?
If I only had a week to live I would spend it with my loved ones being the same goofy, loving self that I always am. I wouldnt let them know I only had a week, and instead I would leave items in a box or something for them to find afterwards and remember the good and beautiful times with me.
2. What is the number one travel adventure that you’ve always wanted to go on?
I think my entire trip is something I have always wanted to go on! However, I admire other travelers and their adventures and the beautiful places that they travel to!
3. Who is your biggest role model and why?
My biggest role model is my mother. She has taught me, above everything else, to always stay true to myself.
4. If you were given $1,000,000 what would you do with it?
I would be forever grateful if I was given $1,000,000. Im sure I would be the person trying to save the world with it 🙂
5. If you were shipwrecked on an island and could only choose 3 people to be there with you, who would they be?
Oh goodness this would be a tough one. I am so random and quirky I am sure I would drive anyone I took with me insane. My mom could probably put up with me, and since Tasha is taking this trip with me, she probably could also. And perhaps someone who was good at building a boat? The Swiss Family Robinson? I would clump them all together as one person for the purpose of this question though. 😉

- What is your favorite quote?
- Who or what inspires you?
- Are you an introvert or extrovert?
- Who is your favorite author?
- What are your aspirations?
- What is your greatest accomplishment to date?

In the wake of a recent national tragedy, I want to take the time to share something.
It is not often that I speak about myself and I especially do not write my innermost thoughts for others to judge. But, now is the exception.
I want to take this time to show my true spirit, to others and even to myself. I truly and honestly believe that people are good. Good hearted, good natured, and good spirited. It breaks my soul to learn of so many lives lost with recent shootings, and I take this time to reflect on all lives lost, taken far too early. And I think about the families, and the souls that are left without their loved ones. And then I begin to get angry. And yell at the Universe, “why?!” why must we live in a world with war and tragedy. Why must we have suffering?
I recently watched something that was talking about loss and death. “Death is the beginning of our souls journey, just as life is.” Now, I dont care what your spiritual path is; who your “God” is or what you pray for. I do care that you take care of and learn to heal your soul, your spirit, when it is aching; in order to grow.
Social media and news have glorified killers and I will not do that in this post. What I will do is glorify all those who have been had their spirit released without their consent. Whether domestic or internationally, I believe we can all set aside our differences and, for only one moment, just be. Just be with our own self. Our own spirit. Our own community. Our own world.
Put aside religious beliefs, political opintions, and.. just be.
And maybe we would smile a bit more. Wake up sad less days. Come home more enegrized. By simply taking the time, to be.
Namaste to all of you. Where ever you are. Who ever you are.

Costa Rica, an area rich with beauty and abundance nestled in the middle of Central America between Panama and Nicaragua.
The country has an abundant history that draws in thousands of tourists each year. From cascading waterfalls to white sandy beaches to the mountains and rainforests that create the central spine of the country, Costa Rica offers something for everyone.
The duration of the stay, our journey will take us into the mountains of central Costa Rica, staying in Las Vueltas de Tucurrique, at Planet Costa Rica through winding roads and scenic landscape. All while searching and capturing the beauty of life and those living it.
We will be staying with a lovely family who value land and the earth as their own. Living the vegan lifestyle, we hope to gain a new perspective on life and what is all around us. For more information about the family and who they are, check out their website through the link above! I cant wait to post all kinds of photos from there!

Hey everyone! so sorry we went AWOL for a while! There has been so much to so with preparations for the trip and getting things together for the final countdown (dun dun dun!). I woke up Sunday morning and thought we leave in exactly one month (holy moly thats so soon!)
You never know how much stuff you have in your home until you’re ready to move out.
well maybe it isnt that much, but it sure feels like it!! We both contacted some local charity organizations to collect the items in our apartments. It was bittersweet but knowing that the furniture would be given to someone who needs it was well worth it!
Oh! And my passport came in the mail last week! Things. Just. Got. Real. -_-
We have a lot of upcomming information and cant wait to post it all!!
